    A storm removes noon from Kvarnen. The weather clerk boards the wind tram with a captured minute and a trail that runs out to sea.

    Across deserts, monsoons, mountains and the equator, local instruments disagree. The clerk discovers strings above the clouds and a brass hand behind the storm gate.

    Behind the Forecast

    Inside the high tower, the world hangs from a patient puppet machine. The brass bird steals a key, and the machine reveals the small living thing inside its enormous mind.
